LoadMaster – Weight & Balance App for Experimental Aircraft

Weight and balance for homebuilders, on your phone, tablet or laptop. LoadMaster turns your scale readings into an empty weight and CG, checks every loading against your aircraft's envelope, and produces clean PDF reports for your aircraft records. I built it for my own RV-8 and the rest of the RV community.

What it does

• Empty weight & CG from left main, right main and tail or nose wheel readings, with any scales.
• Already weighed? Enter a known empty weight and CG directly.
• Loaded CG for pilot, passenger, fuel and baggage, with automatic gallons-to-pounds fuel conversion (6.01 lb/gal, 100LL).
• CG envelope check against normal and aerobatic limits, with a clear within-limits or out-of-limits result.
• Two-page PDF reports (empty weight and loaded) for your aircraft records.
• 13 Van's models preloaded: RV-4, RV-6/6A, RV-7/7A, RV-8/8A, RV-9/9A, RV-10, RV-12/12iS, RV-14/14A.
• Any other aircraft: set up a custom profile with your own CG limits, datum, max gross, gear type and loading stations.
• Works offline once installed, so it works in a hangar with no signal.

How you get it

LoadMaster is a web app. After purchase you'll receive a link. Open it on your phone, tablet or computer and add it to your home screen, and it installs and runs like a regular app. The first time you open it, enter your order number and the email you used at checkout to activate. Each purchase activates on up to 3 devices. Activation needs an internet connection once per device; after that it works offline.

• iPhone / iPad: open the link in Safari (Chrome on iOS can't install web apps), tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open it once from the home screen icon while on WiFi.
• Android: open the link in Chrome and choose Install app.

One-time purchase with no subscription, and updates are included.

Known iOS quirks (cosmetic only)

• On iPhone and iPad, the home screen icon may show a letter instead of the TFlight logo.
• When launched with no connection, iOS may show a "turn on WiFi" message. Dismiss it, and the app works normally behind it.

Neither happens on Android, and neither affects any calculation.

Important

LoadMaster is a calculation aid, not an approved source of weight and balance data. Preloaded aircraft figures are reference values; always verify against your own aircraft's records, POH and builder documentation. The pilot in command is responsible for loading within limits. You'll be asked to accept these terms the first time you use the app.
